Lots of Love and Pink Flamingos: A Baltimore Wedding to Remember

wedding photos in Baltimore city

Picture this: An engagement session filled with Baltimore charm, a cozy courthouse ceremony, and a spectacular New Year's Eve celebration—all tailored to the personalities of our delightful couple, Teddy and Scott.

Engagement Session: Charles North and Hampden

For Teddy and Scott, who once endured the trials of long-distance love, trains held a special significance. So we began their engagement session at Penn Station, a poignant starting point for their story.

From there, we ventured into the vibrant Station North Arts District, using the district's colorful murals as fun backdrops with a quick stop at the iconic Charles Theatre.

The session culminated at "Melanie's," their favorite bar in Hampden. This cozy bar, pulsating with the heartbeat of Baltimore, provided a perfect setting for some drinks and an epic bathroom "selfie" (find the evidence in the gallery below).

Although I have a long list of favorite photo locations in Baltimore, many of these spots were suggested by Teddy and Scott. I had an absolute blast getting creative and transforming their vision into the fun and authentic photos they desired.

Courthouse Ceremony: Intimate and Heartfelt

The day before their grand celebration, Teddy and Scott chose an intimate courthouse ceremony with just their immediate family. The short ceremony was followed by some family photos and a few couple portraits around the Baltimore City Courthouse. This allowed the couple to skip a formal ceremony on their big day and minimize family photo obligations. This way, they could dedicate the following day entirely to the PARTY!

New Year's Eve Wedding Extravaganza at The Heron Room

And then came the grand finale -the New Year's Eve wedding at The Heron Room. This was no ordinary affair. Picture a venue packed with the most fun party crowd greeted by a mariachi band, no traditional dinner seating but a constant flow of finger foods - it coudn't have been more perfect. The atmosphere was electric, the vibes infectious—a celebration where every moment was infused with joy and laughter. Teddy and Scott kept a few traditions, speeches by loved ones, cutting their wedding cake (made by Scott!), and a first dance which then opened the dance floor - and I'm sure you can imagine that it was nothing short of legendary.

As the clock neared midnight, the guests followed the pink flamingos to watch the ball drop in Hampden, a quintessential New year's Eve Baltimore tradition, where Teddy and Scott started their forever.

This wedding journey was more than just a series of events—it was a tapestry woven with threads of love, laughter, and the unique spirit of Baltimore. From the streets of Charles North to the bars of Hampden, and finally, beneath the neon glow of a New Year's Eve ball drop, we witnessed a love story unfold—a story as vibrant and diverse as the city they call home.
